Parenting Plans are coming! Parenting Plans are coming!
Will you know what to do when Parenting Plans become mandatory in Maryland?
Spearheaded by the Legislative Commission on Child Custody, there is a movement afoot to pass a rule requiring all litigants to propose a Parenting Plan as part of the pre-trial procedure – similar to Maryland Rule 9-207. The Honorable Cynthia Callahan, Chair of the Commission and the Honorable Richard J. Sandy, Chair of the Commission’s Subcommittee on Procedure, will be panelists along with other multidisciplinary family law professionals from around the state of Maryland to discuss this proposed rule!
Ann Haralambie, Esq.
From Tucson, Arizona, a nationally recognized force in the movement for court-mandated parenting plans and long-time champion for the children of separation and divorce.
Multidisciplinary panel to include:
The Honorable Cynthia J. Callahan – Montgomery County
The Honorable Richard Sandy – Frederick County
The Honorable Cathy Serrette – Prince Georges County
Rebecca Snyder, Psy.D. – Frederick County
Risa Garon, LCSW-C, BCD, CFLE – Howard County, Montgomery County
Lisa Mohink, Esq. – Howard County Deputy Court Administrator
…just to name a few!
Here are just a few of the questions that will be addressed that day:
What is a parenting plan? Really?
What individual and systemic problems are getting solved with this Rule?
How will it help families, practitioners and the Courts?
How will it impact settlement? Trial strategy? Judicial decision-making?
Where are the landmines?
